No. Everything in the base game is included in the £2.99. Future expansion packs with new scenarios may be offered separately, but you’ll never be asked to pay to unlock features of the game you’ve bought.

No. Survive No10 plays in a modern web browser on your phone, tablet or computer. You need JavaScript, cookies and an internet connection. You can also add it to your phone’s Home Screen for one-tap access.

After payment, your browser remembers your access. You also get a private access link, shown on the confirmation screen and emailed to your PayPal address. Open it on any device, or select “Already bought?” to have it sent again. Please don’t share your link.

When you buy, you ask for immediate access to the game and agree that your 14-day cancellation right ends once access begins. Your statutory rights are not affected. See our Refunds page for details, or contact us if something has gone wrong.

Each turn, a new issue lands on your desk with three possible responses. Every choice moves four ratings: Public, Party, Markets and Press. Then tomorrow’s front page of The Daily Splash shows the headline and the fallout.

If any of your four ratings hits zero, your time at No10 is over. The end screen tells you who brought you down, whether it was the voters, your own MPs, the markets or the press.

Most games last 5 to 15 minutes. Each issue moves the clock on by roughly one to two months. A strong player who keeps winning elections can govern for much longer.

Every choice is a trade-off: it pleases some groups and annoys others. The arrows next to each rating show exactly how much each group moved, and a bar flashes red when a rating drops sharply. Under your ratings, a note from your Private Secretary warns you which group needs attention most. The strapline under each headline and “The Fallout” box show who reacted most. Rating changes also vary slightly each time, and issues bite a little harder the longer you stay in office.

Yes. Balance all four groups, get through five years and win the election. There’s no hidden rule that forces you out: you only fall if a rating reaches zero, you lose an election, or you choose to resign.

An optional challenge you can switch on from the start screen. You get 20 seconds to decide each issue. Run out of time and the papers attack you for dithering, costing a few points on every rating. The timer pauses if you switch to another tab. It’s off by default.

Survive five years and you face a general election. To win, you need Public at 45 or more and Party at 25 or more. Election night shows how many of the 650 seats you won, with 326 needed for a majority.

You choose. Continue governing into a fresh five-year term, which ends in another election, or retire undefeated and go out on a high.

Yes, once you’re a year into your current term. If your ratings are riding high, it can lock in a fresh five-year term. If Public or Party dips below the winning line, you’re out.

Yes, at any time, using the Resign button during play. Your premiership is recorded in your past PMs and gets a rank, and you can share your final front page.

Every finished game earns a rank based on how long you lasted and how many elections you won. Ranks run from “Blink and you missed them” through Stopgap PM, Caretaker, Survivor, Steady hand and Heavyweight, up to Election winner, Political colossus and Legend of Downing Street. Each rank has its own badge, shown on your end screen, in your past PMs and on your shared front page. See the ranks.

Not until you’ve seen all 656. The game remembers which dilemmas you’ve had and always serves new ones first. Once you’ve seen them all, the cycle starts again.

Yes. Your game saves automatically after every decision. Come back to the start screen and select “Continue” to pick up exactly where you left off. Starting a new game asks you to confirm first, so you won’t lose a run by accident.

Your game in progress, personal best, past PMs, rank, the list of dilemmas you’ve already seen, your PM’s name and your Pressure mode setting.

In the browser on your own device. It isn’t sent to our server. That also means it doesn’t sync between devices, and clearing your browser data or using private browsing will reset it. Your purchase can always be restored on another device.

At the end of every game, a chart shows how all four ratings rose and fell from your first issue to your last, so you can see exactly where things started to go wrong.

A record of your recent premierships: each PM’s name, how many days they lasted, their rank and how they fell. It appears on the start and end screens.

Yes. Type a name on the start screen, your own or a made-up one, and it appears in the headlines, the status bar and your results. It’s optional, and it’s stored only on your device.

At the end of a game, choose “Share your result” to send a short message, or “Share your front page” to share a picture of your final Daily Splash, with your headline, days in office and rank. On phones it opens your share menu; on computers the picture downloads.

No. No10.co.uk is independent and has no connection to HM Government or the Prime Minister’s Office. The scenarios are fictionalised for gameplay.

No real politicians appear in the game’s stories. You play a generic Prime Minister, ministers are described only by their role, and the game doesn’t favour any party. The dilemmas are inspired by the kinds of issues in the news, not by real people. The end screen compares your time in office with real past Prime Ministers, just for fun.

Yes. We plan to add new scenarios over time. Any new dilemmas added to the base game count as unseen, so you’ll get them first.
